We are currently shipping version 7.1 that includes the following added features:
Windows 7, Vista and XP Support
- We offer full support of the Windows 7, Vista and XP operating systems.
- Update from the Web
- We always keep the latest revision of our program available on our website. You can select the Update from the Web
command (on the Help menu) at any time. It will download and install the latest revision on your computer.
- Color Highlight your Bible Text
- Many people mark in their Bibles to help them remember key words and insights.
Now this feature is also available on the electronic text. Select any text in the Bible
and choose from a list of colors. The selected text will be marked with that color on the screen.
- Internet Link
- The Internet includes a collection of thousands of computers all over the world that provide
resources for study of the Bible and encouragement to believers. You might find there a
sermon on a key doctrine, a debate on an ethical issue, a document from church history,
a research report on science and the Bible, a publication you never knew existed, a ministry
that focuses on your primary interests, or a complete Bible study on your favorite topic. The volume
of material on the Internet for Christians is so enormous that it creats a problem. There
is such great variety available that it is hard to find just the resource you want at any given time.
To solve this problem, we have added a new Internet command to our menu. When you
select this command, your Internet browser will display the page from our Internet site that links
to primary Christian resources from all over the world. A click on any address will
take you directly to the site you need. We will continue adding links to this page as
we find other outstanding texts and study aids on the Internet.
- Returning to Previous Searches
- Searching the Bible text is a snap, but our users have been asking for the ability to go back to previous searches.
Version 7.1 saves the results of the last ten search requests.
You can go back to any of these searches at any time.
This allows you to wander off on a footpath to investigate a line of thought and
still easily return to the main road of your Bible study.
- Helpful Tips
- Many users have asked us for a special new feature only to find that feature already available.
Now we have added a special Tips screen to help you find those features that are not often used
but very helpful when needed. Each Tip is a reminder of how a new feature works and
how to make best use of the software program while studying your Bible.
- Bible Timeline
- We have added a graphics chart showing the major events and characters of the Bible in sequence.
The colorful chart will help you to keep in mind how all the parts fit together in the flow of Biblical history.
